Coming to Stay is the Start of Something Special
We are fortunate to live in one of the most naturally beautiful parts of this amazing country and with our rich heritage and culture complimented by a very warm welcome, we attract visitors from around the world. Our local economy relies on this tourism as well as agriculture and many of our businesses are small and family run. We have pledged to help protect this for all and by deciding to come and stay, you will be taking the first step in helping us conserve these natural and cultural assets. The second important way that you can help us is by embracing some of our energy saving ideas during your stay.
Even if you'd prefer to arrive by car you can give it a holiday too once you are here. There are lots of opportunities to see the area by bus, on foot or by canoe? You could even leave the car at home and use our local public transport network to make your way to Blairgowrie.
Many of the businesses here are family run and rely on the talents of their owners. From making kilts to honey and gin!, please support them whilst you are here.
Look out for other "Green Tourism" Scheme members, please support them here and when you go home.
Our thermostat controls, new taps and LED bulbs help us save energy and water, this not only puts less strain on the environment it helps us keep our costs down too, so that we can pass the benefits on to you.
RELAX, you probably won't even realise how much you will recycle, reduce and reuse on holiday here.
We would love you to get out and about, shopping locally and to make you a happy shopper we supply some "Bags for Life" for you to REUSE during your stay.
Also buying from our local butchers and delis can REDUCE on food packaging.
We hope that you will find our recycling area easy to use. We RECYCLE batteries, paper, card, glass, plastic and food waste.
We all love to explore the countryside and enjoy nature. Help maintain this natural playground by respecting and protecting it. At the lodges we try to give "Nature a Home" help us record what you see in our Wildlife Diaries. Our local area has a fantastic network of paths, both around the town and further into the hills and woods. We enjoy some really beautiful green and flowery spaces in our town. This is thanks to Blair In Bloom, a voluntary committee group, we hope that you might make a donation to their cause whilst booking.
The Scottish Outdoor Access Code will help you discover and protect our countryside.
